Maintenance & Care: How to Care for your Painted Linen & Raffia: To maintain quality and appearance, avoid placing sharp objects on surface, as material is not scratch-resistant. Use coasters, trivets and placemats for protection against hot or wet items. Address spills immediately by wiping with a soft, dry cloth. Spot-clean as needed with a soft cloth and mild soap. Dust regularly with a soft, damp cloth, followed by a dry one. Avoid using strong, abrasive or chemical-based cleaners plus solvents including paint thinner, acetone or furniture polish with bleach, which can damage surface. Avoid exposure to heat, which can damage surface. Keep away from direct sunlight to avoid fading or discoloration. Avoid placing near a heat source to prevent premature cracking.
